FRIDAY STRAWBERRY PRETZEL DREAM

This is a fun Friday recipe!  It’s so yummy---a great treat to finish off the week.

This is also a great dish to take to a pot luck dinner or to take to a neighbor.

Ingredients:

2 cups pretzel sticks, broken into pieces

3 T. sugar

¾ cup melted butter

One 8 ounce package of cream cheese, softened

One 16 ounce container of Cool Whip

1 cup powdered sugar

Two-3 ounce packages of strawberry jello

2 cups boiling water

Two- 10 ounce packages of frozen strawberries

Instructions:

*Mix pretzels, sugar and butter.  Spread into a 9 by 13 inch pyrex baking dish.

*Bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes and set aside to cool.

*Using an electric mixer, combine the cream cheese, cool whip and powdered sugar.

*Pour over the pretzel mixture.

*In a mixing bowl, dissolve the jello in the boiling water, stirring until all the crystals are dissolved.

*Stir the frozen strawberries into the jello mixture until berries are almost thawed out.

*Pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer.

*Cover and refrigerate until firm.

*Cut into squares and serve.
