FRIDAY CHOCOLATE FROSTING


This chocolate icing  recipe was given to me by my Mother and it is great to use with your favorite vanilla cake recipe.  I use it when I make vanilla cupcakes from scratch or even with a white cake mix.  It is so delicious and easy to make.

Ingredients:
1 stick of butter, softened
2/3 cup cocoa
3 and ½ cups confectioner’s sugar
1/3 cup milk (whole milk works best for  icing)
2 t. vanilla
Dash of salt

Instructions:
*Using an electric mixer, combine the butter cocoa and sugar.
*Add milk, vanilla and salt
*Simply add more sugar if it is too thin and more milk if it is too thick.
*Spread over your favorite cake.
