EASY PEACH PIE

photo.JPG

Here’s a fast and friendly recipe for a delicious peach pie.  My Mother gave me this recipe a few days ago. You  can whip it up in no time---and serve it to your family with a dollop of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.  This is a good one!!

Ingredients:
1 stick of butter
1 cup of self rising flour
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of milk (whole milk is preferable)
1 t. almond flavoring
4 to 6 cups of chopped white peaches (or peaches of your choice)

Instructions:
*Preheat oven  to 375 degrees.
*Spray a 9 by 11 pyrex baking dish with PAM.
*Melt stick of butter in the pyrex baking dish as the oven is heating up.
*In a mixing bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, milk and almond flavoring.
*Remove the dish from the oven and pour the batter over the melted butter—BUT DO NOT STIR.
*Evenly place the chopped peaches over the surface of the batter in the dish.
*Return the dish to the oven and cook for 1 hour on the center rack of the oven until the pie is set and brown and bubbly.
