These waffles are worth the extra effort! They are amazing and I really hope you will try them when you have a bit of time to enjoy creating a wonderful breakfast for your family. They would also make a great “breakfast for supper” entrée! This recipe is from my Mother who discovered it at her alma mater, Berry College. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
3 t. baking powder
½ t. salt
2 t. sugar
¼ cup melted butter, margarine or vegetable oil
3 eggs, separated
1 and ¾ cup milk
1 t. vanilla
Instructions:
*Whisk dry ingredients together
*Mix milk, egg yolks, vanilla and melted butter together. Add to dry ingredients. Do not overmix.
*Beat egg whites until stiff.
*Fold beaten egg whites into batter.
*Pour batter onto waffle iron in small batches.
**Freeze extra waffles for later use.
