I love to eat egg drop soup at my favorite Japanese restaurant. I didn’t realize it was so easy to make. It has a really mild and comforting taste. Try this easy but impressive soup with your family.
Ingredients:
1 carton of chicken broth (or 3 cups of homemade broth)
1 egg, beaten
Fresh green onions (finely chopped)
Any seasonings you wish (don’t add salt if your broth already contains salt)
Instructions:
*Heat broth and bring close to a boil.
*Whisk in the beaten egg, swirling it slowly throughout the broth.
*Egg should separate into cooked string-like shapes.
*Serve immediately and garnish with chopped green onion.
GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE CORRECTION:
Oops! I left out the butter in the list of ingredients from my post of January 2nd, 2012.
The cake calls for 1 cup (2 sticks) of softened butter. The butter should be creamed until fluffy with the sugar as the instructions state.
