MONKEY BREAD

Here are two great recipes for Monkey Bread.  The first one is a bit faster but it will be one hour from start to finish, including prep time before you will be eating the delicious stuff!
The second one is great when you have guests because you prepare everything before you go to bed and then just get up a half hour before your guests to put it in the oven and make the coffee.  Both recipes are great when paired with eggs, cooked to order and fresh fruit!  Please try both methods sometime during the holiday season and let me know which one you like the best.  Enjoy!

METHOD  # 1:
Ingredients:
3 large cans of refrigerated biscuits (use the buttermilk variety if possible)
½ cup sugar
2 t. cinnamon
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 stick butter, melted
1 t. vanilla

Instructions:
*Spray a bundt cake pan with PAM.
*Separate each piece of biscuit dough and cut into 4 pieces.
*Mix sugar and cinnamon and roll each biscuit dough quarter in the sugar/cinnamon mixture.
*Drop each piece into the cake pan somewhat evenly, but gently overlapping each row until all dough pieces are used.
*Combine brown sugar, melted butter and vanilla.
*Pour over dough pieces.
*Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until bread is done.
*Cool for about 5 minutes and then invert on a serving plate.  Return to oven if inverted side is undone.

METHOD # 2:
Ingredients:
20 frozen dough rolls
1 cup brown sugar
½ c. vanilla pudding powder (the contents of a small box)
2 t. cinnamon
1 stick melted butter
1 t. vanilla

Instructions:
*Just before you go to bed, spray a bundt cake pan with PAM.
*Drop the frozen dough rolls into the cake pan somewhat evenly but gently overlapping each row until all the rolls are added.
*Mix brown sugar, pudding powder and cinnamon and sprinkle over dough rolls in the pan.
*Mix the butter and vanilla and drizzle over all.
*Place the cake pan on a baking sheet and put in the cold oven until morning.  GOOD NIGHT---SLEEP TIGHT   zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

GOOD MORNING—TODAY’S A BEAUTIFUL DAY TO MAKE BREAKFAST!!   :)
*In the morning it’s very exciting because the dough has risen and it’s very puffy. Turn the oven to 350 degrees (I usually just leave the cake pan in there as the oven heats.
*Bake for 40 minutes or until bread is done.
*Let sit for 5 minutes and invert onto serving plate.  Return the bread to the oven if the inverted side is undone.
