CONFIDENCE AND JOY IN THE NEW YEAR

I love when a new year begins.  Even though the house looks bare after I take all the Christmas trees down, there is a certain feeling of freshness and rebirth.  I'm not one to make resolutions but I do like to choose an area of focus that I can relate all areas of my life toward.  This year I have chosen-contentment. I think we all can easily get into a habit of going about our day, moving through activities that we have deemed important.  Then when the least little thing  delays or thwarts our plans, we can become discouraged and negative.  We often let the behavior of others and even the weather chip away at our joy and peace, our contentment.  So I hope you'll join me in declaring contentment as this new year's focus.  I want to see from God's perspective, not my own. 
"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.  I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.  I can do everything through Him who gives me strength."  Philippians 4:12-13
